Kogan
President & Founder
The Employee Network, established
in August 1998 by Arizona native Steve Kogan was a 2 a.m. brainstorm
that has built the 13 year old company that exists today. His vision
was to develop a place where trusted merchant partners could advertise
discounts to the corporate employees in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
The Employee Network member base started with one company's 9,000
employees, who benefited by having one clear concise place to find
ALL of their available employee discounts. The discounts that are
offered to Employee Network Members are managed on a daily basis by
The Employee Network staff rather than the corporations.
Steve recalls, "In August 1998 we started with just 9,000 employee
members from one major corporation and today our member base is over
500,000 from more than 91 of the largest corporations and government
agencies in the nation."

Shaun
Bishop
Sales Manager
After almost 3 years of being
an advertising merchant of The Employee Network, Shaun took advantage
of the opportunity to come and work for The Employee Network as an
Account Manager in October 2009, and a short time later was promoted
to Sales Manager.
He is originally from the Los Angeles California area but has lived
in Arizona for the past 13 years. During this time, he served one
tour in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged.
Shaun attended Chandler Gilbert and Mesa Community Colleges where
he studied Business and Marketing. Throughout his career, he has been
involved in Sales earning numerous awards and achievements helping
to bring a tremendous amount of experience to The Employee Network.
Shaun is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales and also
assists in business development for the company.

members at 91 of the largest Corporations, Hospitals, Cities, & Government

Andrea
Burtscher
Marketing & Events Coordinator
Andrea came to The Employee Network
in March of 2009. She hails from Toledo, Ohio where she graduated
with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Toledo. While
at Toledo, Andrea was a 4-year member of the Women's Varsity Soccer
Team, helping to win the school its very first Mid-American Conference
Tournament Championship. Andrea worked in radio promotions prior to
coming to The Employee Network, allowing her to make a smooth transition
into her position here. Andrea organizes and directs The Employee
Network Road Shows as well as playing an important role in launching
new marketing campaigns for The Employee Network.
Andrea enjoys the outdoors, fitness, movies and travel.

Donnie
Hogan 
Website Coordinator & Marketing Assistant
Donnie is the newest member
of The Employee Network team after joining the company in Dec. of
2010. He is a proud Longhorn who graduated
with a Bachelor's Degree of Journalism from The University of Texas
at Austin. While in college, Donnie learned many web, design, audio
and video skills with help from local internships in the Austin
area.
Donnie is an absolute sports fanatic. His loyalties will always
be with his Alma mater, but he has also quickly embraced the Suns,
Cardinals, Diamondbacks and Coyotes. Those who know him best, know
that Donnie is borderline obsessive over Manchester United FC (a
soccer team from Manchester, England) and attending the World Cup
is at the top of his personal "bucket list".
Donnie on The Employee Network: "I love how we at The Employee Network
use many different ways to gather, filter and distribute valuable
information to our customers and merchants. This
flow of information and advertising is constantly moving and benefits
everyone involved. We have a lot of
ideas we are working on with our site that will make that flow of
information faster, easier and more efficient and that is extremely
exciting moving forward."

The
Employee Network was established in 1998 to have an employee discount
program that would compliment a company store owned and operated
by the founder Steve Kogan. The store operated as a convenience
for a client of Kogan's other business, Corporate Promotional Advertising
of Arizona Inc., a full service Promotional Advertising Company
est. in 1992. Several employees (about 9,000) from this client expressed
the need for a program such as we have now created. The client had
a similar program in-house with a volunteer doing the best to keep
up with the program along with job responsibilities. The idea of
The Employee Network was to bolster that program, take the pressure
off the volunteer and to turn the program into a business that would
have its own employees that could focus on the employee discount
program and nothing else.
This
new company would work constantly to improve the program by finding
great Advertising Partners that could recognize the power that a
large buying group could make on their business. An Employee Network
staff member would work with the Advertising Partners to create
more and better discounts, programs and specials for the employees.
This program would be designed to emulate the original company program
whereby the employee only needs to show his/her ID badge - no coupons,
books or membership fees. The next step was creating an informational
website where the employees could find their discounts readily from
home, work or while traveling. This original program was received
wonderfully by the business's as well as the employees. Soon after
inception, one of the Advertising Partners, Earnhardt's with 1,800
employees, asked why their employees could not make use of the same
program as a part of their employee benefits package. Then came
MicroAge, Insight, Super Shuttle, Pinacor, Honeywell, US Airways,
Valley Big Brothers/Sisters and several others. The Employee Network
started with 9,000 members and over-night became 75,000 members
and still growing! Now, as we have several national companies aboard
with us, we will soon be building into other cities and states.
We have truly in our humble opinion, created the perfect win-win
for all.
